A Toast to Love: Jostin & Jerek’s Surprise Engagement Party
When Jostin reached out about planning a surprise engagement party for his partner, Jerek, we knew it had to be something special—intimate yet elevated, minimalist but filled with meaning. The couple met on Brown Street at Morehouse College, so we leaned into their love story while creating a chic moment in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles.
The Vision
We transformed a raw industrial loft into a romantic, minimalist dream. A clean neutral color palette kept the space timeless, while black accents grounded the airy vibe. Guests were greeted by a line of cocktail tables dressed in soft linens and topped with simple arrangements of hydrangeas and baby’s breath, setting the tone for the evening: understated elegance.
The Details
Our focal moment was a long feature table at the back of the space, framed by a bar serving two signature cocktails:
The 1867 (a nod to Morehouse’s founding year): Rosé, blackberries, basil, and sparkling water.
Met on Brown Street Sangria: Red wine, blackberries, lime, and apple slices.
A custom bar menu and welcome sign added a personal touch, while a DJ curated a warm, energetic soundtrack as guests mingled. The surprise reveal moment was unforgettable—friends and family cheered as Jostin led Jerek through the door into a room full of love.

From the first toast to the last dance, this engagement party was a perfect reflection of Jostin & Jerek: thoughtful, stylish, and rooted in love. It was an honor to bring their vision to life.
